Phuket International Airport is temporary closed

From the Orient Thai airplane crashed at the evening of Sunday September 16, 2007 , the Phuket International Airport is now temporary closed and will be announce later about the re-open as normal. The expectation of re-open as normal may be on Monday September 17, 2007.

All flight that will going to Phuket will be change to land on Krabi Airport instead.

From Thai local TV reported that found 69 dead and found 43 passenger alive at 19.38 hrs Sunday. Still have some missing passenger.

On the crashed flight of OG269 , the total number of passenger is 123 persons, 5 crew, 2 captains.

An Orient Thai Airways jet (OG269) crashed and broke in two as it attempted to land in heavy rain at the Phuket airport in southern Thailand on Sunday September 16, 2007. A lot of passenger and crew dead but still have some alive passenger.
