Short trip to Amphawa

Wind up tin toy shop

We reached Amphawa in Saturday late evening (around 17.30 hrs) but there is still full with people in Amphawa float market. The famous of Amphawa is the old and traditional village. First shop that we met when enter to the Amphawa area is a tin toy shop, tin toy also considered as a tradition toy for Thai. I and Aom bought some wind up tin toy eg. wind up duck and tin yoyo. After shopping, we decided to take a foot massage first and then walk to the float market later to avoid the crowd.

We finished our foot massage around 19.10hrs. we booked the fireflies watching boat trip at 60 baht each for 20.00 hrs. So we still have time to look around the float market before our fireflies trip.

In Amphawa, we found a lot of old style candy that look like 20 years ago that currently hard to find in Bangkok but it still available here at Amphawa. When we visited Amphawa, we feel that we are going back to the Bangkok in last 20 years.

We bought some drink from the Thai style’s Num Ma Ned shop (Lemonade shop). The shop is really colorful with a different color of the syrup. I love it. :)

Then we went to the pier for our fireflies boat trip. It quite dark so I cannot take the photo in the dark. I also don’t want to use the camera flash while watching the fireflies because it will disturbed the fireflies. The fireflies is really beautiful, not only good in fireflies but the boat trip itself is also good. The fresh wind from the Mae Klong River make me forget the bad pollution in Bangkok for a while. Amphawa is still has a lot of fresh air. I and Aom talked to each other and we think that we will come back to Amphawa again but we will give an overnight stay at Amphawa next time.
